Chilterns Crematorium

Opened in 1966, Chilterns Crematorium is set in the beautiful countryside of the Chiltern Hills. An area of outstanding natural beauty situated in an established natural woodland which offers scenic uninterrupted views of the countryside. Our setting ensures a welcoming space for all. 

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Amersham, Chilterns Crematorium is accessible from High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Aylesbury, Slough, Reading, Hemel Hempstead, Watford and surrounding areas.  

Chilterns Crematorium offers a calming environment for a memorial service, with the Garden of Remembrance providing a tranquil setting for commemorating the final resting place of a loved one.

Thank you for the support given to me at the funeral of my brother, I conducted the service, and the chapel attendant was very welcoming and accommodating, especially as there was a slight discrepancy between the printed Order of Service and the music which the Funeral Director had requested. There was a large number of people who came and the weather was pretty grim, so the warmth of welcome and comfort was appreciated by everyone. With our thanks and best wishes,

Bereavement support

We focus on not only providing a space for those with bereavement but also on supporting our surrounding communities and charity groups.  

We do this through planned events, community engagement, tours, fundraising and donations.
