March 2022

Chilterns and Bierton Crematoria donated £15,000 to Cancer Research UK.

With the consent of families, metals recovered during the cremation are recycled and the profit raised is used to support bereavement charities run by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management and OrthoMetals.

Our donation goes towards Cancer Research UK’s life-saving research whose vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. In the 1970s, only 1 in 2 people survived their cancer for 10 years or more.

Today, thanks to research, that figure has doubled with the support of funding which goes towards cutting-edge research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
