Chilterns Crematorium proudly participates within the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management’s (ICCM) Metal Recycling Scheme. The scheme offers families the opportunity to give consent for the recycling of metals resulting from cremation. These include metals used in orthopaedic implants such as hip and knee replacements and in the construction of coffins.
The Scheme has raised over £19 million for charities during since it was first created. A heartfelt thanks go to the bereaved that give their consent to recycle these metals.
This year our participation within the scheme raised an incredible £11,600
On behalf of everyone at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, thank you for your donation of £2,900 which you raised from your metal recycling scheme. This is an incredible sum of money.
The money that you raised could fund 78 hours of care from one of our specialist nurses, in a patient’s home to provide care, support and symptom management.
As our care is provided at no cost to our patients and their families, it is made possible by the generous donations we receive from our local community and your very kind donations have enabled our nurses and health care assistants to carry on their amazing work.
Thank you again for making moments together matter for our patients and their families.
