Chilterns and Bierton Crematoria have donated £12,000 to Child Bereavement UK.
Our donation is enough to support 12 families for at least 12 months. Each family will receive a package of face-to-face support with a bereavement practitioner.
With the consent of families, metals recovered during the cremation are recycled and the profit raised is used to support bereavement charities run by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management and OrthoMetals.
Child Bereavement UK is the leading child bereavement charity in the UK who offer support for families when a baby or child of any age dies, or when a child faces bereavement.
They help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.
They also provide training to professionals, including teachers, funeral directors, and police officers, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
